Privacy Policy

When you access the website, our hosting, security and delivery providers may process technical information such as IP address, requested URL, timestamp, browser/device information, security signals, error information and performance data. This information is used to operate, secure and troubleshoot the service.

Saved places, unit preferences and similar settings may be stored locally in your browser using localStorage or cookies. Saved places are not stored in or synchronized to a Weather24.live user-account database.

The current saved-places storage key is weather24.savedPlaces.v2. If valid data is found under the legacy weather24.savedPlaces.v1 key, the browser migrates it locally to the current format and removes the legacy entry.

The installed app's default city is stored separately in localStorage under weather24.pwaDefaultPlace.v1. The record contains the city's placeId, name, countryCode, canonicalPath, installedFromPath, savedAt and updatedAt. It does not contain precise GPS coordinates.

No account, SQL database write or server-stored user profile is required for this preference. You can remove it by clearing Weather24.live site data in your browser.

Precise browser geolocation is requested and used only after you actively click “My location” and the browser grants or retains permission for that active flow. It is not started automatically when you return to the home page, including when permission was granted earlier.

Coordinates are used to identify a nearby weather location. Weather24.live does not create a permanent account profile of your precise location. Saved-place and installed-app preferences store the selected city, not precise GPS coordinates.

Separately, the server may use IP-based approximate latitude and longitude, country, region or city hints supplied by Cloudflare with the request to suggest an initial location. These approximate hints are not GPS and do not grant browser geolocation permission.

A Weather24 service worker may store previously visited city pages and versioned static assets locally in your browser for offline use. A cached forecast is labelled “Du är offline” (You are offline) and “Senast tillgängliga prognos” (Latest available forecast) with its visible update time; it is not presented as live data.

You can remove the service-worker cache and installed-app preference by clearing Weather24.live site data in your browser.

We may use cookies, localStorage and similar technologies for essential functions, preferences, consent management, analytics and advertising. Non-essential technologies are used only as permitted by applicable law and your consent choices.

Weather24.live may display advertising through third-party services such as Google AdSense, Google Ad Manager or other advertising partners. These providers may use cookies or similar technologies to deliver, measure, secure and—where you consent—personalize advertising.

Installing Weather24 does not by itself activate analytics or advertising. Installation never bypasses InMobi Choice or your consent choices; non-essential analytics and advertising remain subject to the same consent controls.
