A free weather widget you can design before copying the HTML

A website weather widget places a compact forecast directly inside another page. Weather24's builder lets you choose a supported city, region or country, compare layout families, test responsive or fixed dimensions and generate the embed code without creating an account.

Weather24 resolves places, forecast data and canonical forecast links on the server, using cached weather when available. Development environments can use configured sample data; production targets with no usable forecast stay clearly marked as unavailable.

Install the HTML weather widget in three steps

  1. Step 1

    Choose the forecast design

    Select a supported location, forecast mode, template, colors and dimensions while watching the server-backed preview update.

  2. Step 2

    Copy the generated HTML

    Open Copy code to generate the markup for the current settings, review the iframe title and size, then copy the complete snippet.

  3. Step 3

    Paste and test the page

    Paste it into normal HTML or a WordPress Custom HTML block, publish a test page and verify desktop and mobile sizes.

Platform notes

Website platforms apply different HTML and iframe permissions. These notes describe where the code normally belongs; they are not a substitute for testing the final hosted integration in each platform.

Plain HTML
Paste the copied iframe where the forecast should appear in the page body.
WordPress
Use a Custom HTML block. Your WordPress role and security settings must allow iframe markup.
Webflow
Place the code in an Embed element and check the result at desktop and mobile widths.
Wix
Use an Embed Code element and give fixed widgets enough height to avoid clipping.
Squarespace
Use a Code Block that accepts HTML, then test the published page rather than editor preview alone.
Shopify
Use a Custom Liquid section only when your theme permissions allow the generated iframe markup.

Performance, privacy and accessibility

Performance

The generated iframe is lazy-loaded, reserves its configured height and uses compact weather artwork. Test the chosen responsive or fixed dimensions on the destination page.

Privacy

Weather-provider requests and keys stay on Weather24's server. The browser builder does not request geolocation, and the generated embed code is available to review before publishing.

Accessibility

Widget links have descriptive labels, controls use native elements, and animation respects reduced-motion preferences. Final templates still require full contrast and keyboard verification before release.

What is a weather widget for a website?

A weather widget is an embedded forecast panel that shows a selected place, current conditions and optional hourly or daily weather inside another website.

Is the Weather24 weather widget free to create?

The builder requires no account and lets you customize the preview, then generate and copy the current embed code without registration.

Does the current preview use live weather data?

Yes in normal operation. Weather24 resolves selected places and forecast data on the server and uses its weather cache. Development environments can use configured sample data, while unavailable production forecasts remain visibly unavailable.

Can I add a 10-day weather widget?

Yes. The builder includes daily forecast layouts with 3, 5, 7 or 10 visible days when that forecast range is available, including dashboard and daily-card templates.

Can the widget be responsive?

Yes. Choose Responsive for a widget that fills its container up to a maximum width, or Fixed for an exact pixel size.

How does the Weather24 builder handle privacy?

The browser preview does not expose weather-provider keys or request browser geolocation. Weather24 resolves forecast requests on the server, and the generated embed code is shown for review before use.
